Inside the Hellenic Residence in Mayfair, the permanent exhibition occupies the very study where George Seferis lived and worked as Ambassador of Greece to the United Kingdom from 1957 to 1962. Drawn from a donated collection, it gathers photographs, personal belongings, artworks, and official and private correspondence that trace the life of Greece’s first Nobel laureate in literature. The Embassy opens the residence to the public only on selected dates each month, and on 18 February 2026 visitors are received between 5pm and 7pm. Admission is free but tickets must be reserved in advance, and an identity document is required at the door. It is a rare and intimate encounter with a poet-diplomat at the heart of the Anglo-Hellenic relationship.
