/ About
Zephyr sits behind a blacked-out shopfront on Portobello Road, giving nothing away until the door opens onto a warm, close-set dining room. From the Pachamama Group (also behind Pachamama and Chicama), it opened in June 2022 with a modern Greek menu from chef John Skotidas, built around chargrilled meat and fish and mezze designed for sharing.
Inside, sculptural paper-flower pendants hang low over round tables dressed in white linen and ochre-yellow chairs, and a curved banquette runs the length of one wall beneath a rotating hang of colourful, Greek-inflected artwork and Murano glass. A long communal table at the back, lit by the same cluster lighting, gives the room a second register for bigger groups. Herringbone parquet, an arched niche stacked with glassware, and an open kitchen keep the space feeling lived-in rather than staged.
Private hire runs through the restaurant's own team by email rather than a marketplace listing, and Zephyr will accommodate parties of six or more with advance notice. It shares its address with Naked & Famous, the agave bar one floor below, a separate room with its own private-hire terms.
