/ About

Wild Izakaya opened on Old Jewry in February 2026, directly across from its sibling restaurant Goodman's City branch, under the same ownership as Goodman, Beast, Wild Tavern, Wild Notting Hill, Belvedere, Chelsea Grill and Pinna. Executive chef Satoru Hashimoto, previously head chef at Koyn in Mayfair after more than a decade in Nobu kitchens, runs a menu built around nigiri, sashimi, robata skewers and rice bowls, backed by an extensive sake, whisky and Japanese beer list.

The 514 square-metre space spans two levels beneath hand-assembled timber beams salvaged from dismantled houses. Most seating is at the long sushi counter and bar, facing the open kitchen under a red neon sign; arched brick windows line one wall, and a glass-fronted wine wall backs the room used for table seating.

For groups, there is a table by the wine wall and a semi-private table downstairs for parties — both counter-led rather than closed private rooms, in keeping with the izakaya format.
