The Langham, London

A Grade II listed neoclassical room, 31 metres by 13 metres, with gilded Corinthian columns, 6-metre ceilings, and large windows that open to the Courtyard Garden. The painted-plaster ceilings and patterned marble floor date from the original 1865 building. It seats 250 for banquet, 275 in theatre configuration, and receives 375 for a standing reception. The Portland Foyer pre-function space connects directly to the main entrance staircase.

One of the oldest private gardens in the West End, tracing back to the mid-eighteenth century. A wooden pergola strung with festoon lights covers one section; the remainder is open lawn with seating. It functions as a standalone space for up to 250 standing or connects to the Grand Ballroom via direct garden access for overflow receptions.

Widely credited as the room where the British tradition of afternoon tea was formalised in the 1860s, Palm Court is a 247-square-metre art deco space with 6-metre ceilings, cascading crystal chandeliers, embossed mirrored wall panels, and a grand piano for the daily live music programme. It connects directly to the Grand Ballroom for combined-capacity events, and can take 150 on a standing reception or 85 for a seated dinner.

Designed by the David Collins Studio, Artesian is named after the original 360-foot artesian well sunk beneath the hotel. Chinese pagoda chandeliers hang over a marble-topped bar, and the geometric rug anchors an arrangement of low velvet club chairs. At 112 square metres with 4.6-metre ceilings, the space takes 80 guests for a standing reception and 45 for seated dining. It operates until 1am Thursday through Saturday on full private hire.

A flexible 82-square-metre space in the Langham House wing, fitted with dark walnut sliding partitions that allow the room to be sub-divided. It holds 80 in theatre or standing reception configuration and 50 for a banquet. The walnut panelling gives it a distinct boardroom character.

A welcoming lower-ground-floor room with natural daylight, marble fireplace, built-in bookshelves, and soft grey-blue tones. At 52 square metres, it takes 50 in theatre configuration or 24 for a banquet. The room includes a plasma TV screen and shifts easily between cocktail reception and seated dinner layouts.

One of the larger Carriage Rooms at 61 square metres, The Surrey offers a versatile open floor plan suited to boardrooms, banquets, or standing receptions. Marble fireplace and natural daylight define the room, which holds 50 standing or 40 for a seated dinner. It can be combined with The Stanhope for additional capacity.

Part of the Langham House meeting wing, The Mayfair is a striking airy room with 4.3-metre ceilings, floor-to-ceiling arched windows, a crystal chandelier, and a marble fireplace. At 51 square metres, it takes 40 in theatre or reception configuration and 30 for a banquet. Its period architecture sets it apart from the hotel's contemporary meeting spaces.

An airy 72-square-metre space furnished with a custom dining table hand-built by craftsman Martin Tucker, and lamps sourced through Petersham Nurseries. Abundant greenery fills the room. It seats up to 26 for an informal dinner or private gathering and connects to adjacent spaces for expanded hire.

The largest of the seven Private Carriage Rooms, The Barouche is notable for its full-sized billiard table which converts to a dining or boardroom configuration. The room is bright and airy with natural daylight, and accommodates 25 standing or 16 for a private dinner. It can be adjoined to The Brougham next door for expanded entertaining.

Distinct from the other Carriage Rooms in décor, The Victoria features a full gallery wall of contemporary artwork, parquet flooring, and green and blue upholstered chairs. At 44 square metres, it seats up to 14 for a private dinner. Direct access to the adjoining Victoria Terrace extends the space outdoors.

An intimate Carriage Room of 21 square metres with handpicked decorative details and a marble fireplace. It takes up to 12 for a seated dinner or 15 for a standing reception, and adjoins The Barouche for combined hire.

The smallest of the Carriage Rooms at 18 square metres, The Stanhope is an intimate space suited to very small meetings or private gatherings of up to 10 guests. It connects to The Surrey for expanded capacity.
