/ About
The Hoxton opened on Great Eastern Street in 2006 and gave its name to everything that followed: nineteen hotels now carry the brand, and this is the first of them. The ground floor is the argument for it. Exposed brick, raw concrete columns and a carved stone chimneypiece under a wide drum chandelier, with sofas and working tables running the length of it. By day the room fills with laptops; by evening it turns over into a bar.
Events live in The Apartment, a self-contained 256 sq m floor of seven rooms that can be taken one at a time or as a single space for up to 250. The rooms are furnished rather than fitted out: a Library with a striped chaise and shelves of books, a Living Room that opens onto greenery, a Dining Room with street-facing windows, two Studies for small numbers, a Playroom and The Den. They gather around The Pantry, an open kitchen in sage green over a chequerboard floor that runs as a help-yourself larder through the day and becomes a private bar after dark. An events host stays with the floor all day.
Eating happens at either end of the building. Llama Inn, the London outpost of the Brooklyn original, sits on the roof behind a yellow door on Willow Street, with a pergola terrace and a Peruvian menu of ceviche and sharing plates read through a New York lens. Il Bambini Club took the lobby restaurant in 2025 and plays it as an Italian trattoria in green and terracotta, with an open kitchen, seasonal pizzas and live music mid-week. The Courtyard, glazed and hung with paper lanterns, is the quiet third option.
/ Rooms Available
The Apartment
Exclusive HireThe whole event floor taken as one: seven rooms and the open kitchen at their centre, 256 square metres, laid out to suit. The rooms are furnished as rooms rather than fitted as function suites, and the layout is agreed with the events team rather than picked off a chart.
Il Bambini Club
Semi PrivateThe lobby restaurant, taken over in 2025 and run as an Italian trattoria in green and terracotta with an open kitchen and a long bar. Seasonal pizzas and fresh pasta, aperitivo into the evening, and live music mid-week. Available for semi-private hire or a full buyout through its own events team.
Library + Living Room
PrivateThe two largest rooms of The Apartment opened into one 85 square metre space, with a white column down the middle and windows onto greenery. It takes round tables for a seated dinner, a long boardroom table, or a standing reception.
Llama Inn
Semi PrivateThe rooftop, reached by its own yellow door on Willow Street. A pergola terrace opens off a glazed dining room, and the kitchen sends out ceviche, small plates and sharing dishes from the London outpost of the Brooklyn original. Cocktails run to pisco, and the wine list is natural.
Living Room
PrivateForty-six square metres with a run of windows onto planting, a pink dado and pale walls. The largest single room on the floor before the two are combined.
Library
PrivateShelves, framed pictures, a striped chaise and a pair of rust-red armchairs against white brick. It works as a sitting room for a drinks reception and takes a long table down the middle when it needs to.
Dining Room
PrivateStreet-facing windows, walnut cabinetry and a yellow dado, with one long table down the centre. The brightest of the small rooms.
Study Red + Study Black
PrivateThe two studies opened into a single 24 square metre room for a small dinner or a working session.
Playroom
PrivateA small room built around a wall-mounted screen, with a long table and heavy curtains. Twelve at most.
The Den
PrivateOlive walls, dark cabinetry and a table for twelve. The least formal of the small rooms.
Study Black
PrivateThe twin of Study Red, the same size and the same brief.
Study Red
PrivateTwelve square metres for a huddle of six around one table.
Courtyard
Semi PrivateGlazed overhead and hung with paper lanterns, with banquette seating and planting around the edges. Light and informal, and the easiest room in the building for a daytime gathering.
The Lobby
Semi PrivateThe arrival room, and the one everyone remembers: brick, concrete columns, a carved stone chimneypiece and a drum chandelier over sofas and long tables. An area at the bar can be held for a group rather than hired outright.
The Pantry
Semi PrivateThe open kitchen the whole floor turns around: sage cabinetry, a chequerboard floor, a mint fridge and an island with stools. It runs as a help-yourself larder through the day and switches to a private bar in the evening. Beyond it sits a lounge with an olive sofa and a botanical mural.
