/ About

Boundary Shoreditch occupies a converted Victorian warehouse on the corner of Redchurch Street, the address Sir Terence Conran chose in 2008 for the first site of his Prescott & Conran group. James McCulloch, who founded the Harcourt Inns pubs, bought it from the Conran estate in 2021 and reworked it the following year. Seventeen rooms and suites sit above, each keyed to a twentieth-century designer or movement: Bauhaus, Le Corbusier, Eileen Gray, Josef Hoffmann, Andrée Putman, a duplex by Conran himself and a suite designed by Sir David Tang.

The event rooms run the height of the building. Below Boundary is the basement, with double-height vaulted ceilings, open brickwork and a marble floor, and it is the one room here with a dance floor of its own. It takes 100 at table and 150 standing, and the house books it for everything from fashion shows to Christmas parties. The ground floor is the Bar and Brasserie, light-filled and street-facing, hired whole for 150 or in two smaller pieces: the Snug, a curtained dining room of 16 tucked behind the bar, and a raised platform set against the windows.

On the roof, a terrace and a heated glass Orangery look across Shoreditch towards the City. The Orangery seats 45 under its own canopy of greenery, and the whole rooftop goes for 150 standing. Food and drink come from the house throughout, the main rooms carry an in-house sound system, and the licence runs to 3am.
