The House of KOKO

The House of KOKO is the members' club that sits behind the Grade II-listed KOKO theatre, entered from its own door on Crowndale Road rather than the one on Camden High Street. It occupies the building attached to the back of the auditorium and runs to sixteen rooms: three restaurants, eight cocktail bars, two outdoor terraces, a set of vinyl rooms, a piano bar, and a penthouse given over to a recording studio.

Ellen's, a jazz and blues club hidden backstage, programmes live music each week and hosts secret members' shows by artists playing the theatre the same night. Members hold a balcony of their own inside the auditorium, with complimentary access to around 150 shows a year, and the club's own calendar runs to supper clubs, film, comedy, in-conversation talks and wellness. A contemporary art collection hangs throughout the building.

The House is open seven days a week and runs until five in the morning from Thursday to Saturday. Late-night DJ sets move across several of the backstage rooms, and the penthouse studio is available for recording. Hire is arranged through a member.
