The Carlton Tower Jumeirah

The Carlton Tower Jumeirah has anchored the corner of Cadogan Place since the 1960s, and a top-to-bottom restoration has returned it as one of Knightsbridge's grandest addresses. It looks out over the private gardens of Cadogan Place, a rare stretch of green a short walk from Sloane Street, and the events floors carry the same restrained, contemporary-British register as the rest of the hotel.

The centrepiece for private events is the first-floor Ballroom, an Art Deco room beneath chandeliers that seats up to 300 for dinner and takes 500 for a reception. It divides into separate soundproofed suites for smaller, more contained evenings, which makes it unusually adaptable for a hotel room of its scale. The Garden Rooms are the other draw: a conservatory-style space under a sweeping glass roof, full of daylight by day and candlelit against the trees of Cadogan Gardens after dark.

For an intimate DJ-led party the appeal is the combination of a soundproofed ballroom that can be sized down, a glasshouse room with genuine atmosphere, and a full hotel events team to run the logistics. Spaces are available for private hire across celebrations, launches and receptions.
