The Bloomsbury Ballroom

Built in 1926 as the South Ballroom of the Liverpool Victoria Friendly Society, The Bloomsbury Ballroom occupies the lower floors of Victoria House, the Portland-stone block fronting Bloomsbury Square. It is a Grade II-listed Art Deco room with silvered pillars, mirrored window bays, moulded ceilings and a polished wooden floor, restored and reopened under its current name in 2006 and run today by the London Cabaret Club.

The main Ballroom holds up to 500 for a reception and around 300 for a seated dinner, with a fixed stage, a full house sound and lighting system and daylight from the tall windows along one side. Two connecting rooms extend it: the Rose Bar, a lounge with its own bar for drinks receptions, and the Long Bar, a narrow tiled room used as a breakout or back-of-house space. Booked together, the venue holds around 700 guests and can be taken exclusively.

Bloomsbury Square sits between the West End and the City, a few minutes from Holborn. The room has hosted awards dinners, fashion shows, product launches and weddings; its stage, dance floor and late licence also make it a straightforward space for a DJ-led party. Catering is arranged in-house or through the venue's approved suppliers.
