/ About

The Bath Priory is a house of honey-coloured Bath stone on the western edge of the city, a short walk from Royal Victoria Park. It was built in 1835 as a private residence, has Gothic arches and gargoyles on its garden front, and sits in four acres of award-winning gardens. Andrew Brownsword Hotels runs it with 27 bedrooms and six suites, a restaurant holding three AA Rosettes, and The Garden Spa by L'Occitane, with an indoor pool and a seasonal heated outdoor pool.

The event rooms face south over the lawns. The Pavilion, the Orangery and the Terrace are the three private dining rooms: the Pavilion and the Orangery open together for up to 48 guests, and the Terrace takes 27. The Priory Restaurant can be taken whole for up to 72 guests, and the Drawing Room, hung with portraits around a marble fireplace, opens onto the terrace and gardens for drinks. In summer the Breeze House and the kitchen garden's Dovecote are used for ceremonies, and a marquee can go up in the grounds.

The whole house can be booked for exclusive use: all 27 bedrooms and six suites, the restaurant, the drawing room and the gardens, with the hotel's own events team. Bath's centre is within walking distance.
