Stanley's Chelsea

Tucked behind a wrought-iron gate on the corner of Sydney Street and the King's Road, Stanley's is the rare central London restaurant built around a garden. The heart of it is a covered, heated courtyard planted with mature trees and trailing greenery, an English country garden transplanted into Chelsea and open whatever the weather. Founder Hugh Stanley opened the room in 2020, with seasonal British cooking led by MasterChef: The Professionals finalist Olivia Burt.

The restaurant runs all day and shifts character as the light changes: leafy and informal over lunch, candlelit and intimate after dark. Beyond the courtyard sit three more distinct rooms. The Orangery is a glass-roofed garden room in soft pastel greens, the Dining Room is the main restaurant floor in warm tones with banquette seating throughout, and a snug Private Dining Room sits behind floral wallpaper and panelling with its own media screen.

For an intimate evening with a resident DJ, Stanley's offers something most Chelsea addresses cannot: a private outdoor-feeling space that stays warm year-round, plus enclosed rooms for hire on their own or as part of an exclusive takeover. Available for private hire across all four spaces.
