/ About
St Clement is Nick Jones's first hotel since he stepped back from Soho House in 2022, set in the riverside half of the 180 Strand complex with its door on Temple Place. The building is brutalist and faces straight down the Thames, and the upper floors take in the London Eye and Westminster on one side and St Paul's and Canary Wharf on the other. Alex Eagle and Sophie Hodges designed the interiors: pale timber floors, brushed steel, stained-glass screens and a serious collection of twentieth-century furniture and photography.
For a private party the space to know is Level 10, a floor given over to private parties with the river view running across it; enquiries go to the hotel's parties team. Downstairs, Bobbi's Bar is a low-lit, green-walled room with a burr-walnut counter and a wall of records, open until 3am for residents and a short list of regulars. Café Clement, the all-day brasserie on the ground floor with a terrace to the front and a garden behind, completes the set.
The hotel has 65 bedrooms, 25 studios, 14 River Lofts and one penthouse. Lunette, a rooftop restaurant from Florence Knight, is due later in the year.
