/ About
SACHI occupies the second floor and rooftop of the Grade II-listed building at 19 Motcomb Street — the neoclassical Belgravia landmark formerly known as Pantechnicon, relaunched under Sunset Hospitality Group in October 2024. Designed by west London studio Sagrada (the practice behind The Arts Club and Sartoria), the second-floor dining room draws on kappo ryori tradition: an open kitchen at its heart, an omakase counter facing the chefs, and warm timber beams with kintsugi detailing running through the space. The atmosphere is focused and intimate, with round tables, pendant lanterns and a large-scale artwork anchoring the room.
Above sits the Terrace Rooftop, a glass-ceilinged conservatory with retractable roof panels and its own outdoor terrace section overlooking Motcomb Street. Inspired by the Kyoto Garden, it trades the dining room's darker register for natural light, lush planting, tortoiseshell detailing and embossed leather on the walls. The rooftop runs its own cocktail and sake programme — centred on Japanese proverbs — alongside a dedicated Cigar Room. A programme of live music and DJs plays into the evening on the terrace.
Head chef Joonsu Park's menu rotates around robata, tempura, sashimi and sushi, with seasonality and UK-sourced ingredients at the centre. The building also houses Amélie (Provençal, ground floor), LUUM (late-night cocktail bar, basement) and Café Kitsuné, together forming a compact Belgravia dining district under one neoclassical roof.
