/ About

Set inside the Grade II listed Duke of York's HQ on the King's Road, Saatchi Gallery is Chelsea's home for contemporary art and one of London's most photogenic blank-canvas venues. A registered charity, it turns the proceeds of private hire back into free access for schools, universities and community groups, so an event here genuinely funds the gallery's public mission. The building runs to thirteen galleries across three floors and a mezzanine, each a clean, well-proportioned room with high ceilings, dimmable barrisol lighting, three-phase power and full step-free access.

The appeal for an intimate, design-led party is the contrast: a serene white room one week, a saturated pink dinner the next, the art either left in place as a backdrop or cleared entirely for a bespoke build. Gallery 10 is the one we keep coming back to, a 7.2-metre double-height space where scale is something you feel the moment you walk in. The smaller upper galleries and the Gallery 13 mezzanine suit a more intimate seated dinner or product reveal, while the ground-floor rooms open up for a standing reception with a dancefloor and booth dropped in.

The gallery works with a roster of approved caterers, AV, florists and furniture suppliers who already know the building, which keeps a complex art-space build straightforward.

Gallery 10

Exclusive Hire
Seats 180 / Up to 220

The gallery's signature space, a 7.2-metre double-height room on the first floor where the sheer volume reshapes whatever is staged inside it. Roughly 13.8 by 11.7 metres of floor, it takes a standing reception with a dancefloor and booth, a long-table dinner, or a dramatic product reveal beneath the height.

A second-floor room used for intimate dinners and product launches, quieter than the busy ground floor and easy to dress for a single, contained event. High ceilings and a clean white shell take a bespoke build well.

Exclusive Hire
Seats 180 / Up to 220

A square, light-filled ground-floor room of around 17.6 by 11.7 metres, long favoured for fashion presentations, drinks receptions and parties. Its proportions and clean walls make it one of the most adaptable rooms in the building, equally at home as a seated dinner or a standing event with a dancefloor.

Seats 180 / Up to 220

A first-floor room well suited to an intimate seated dinner held against the backdrop of a major exhibition, with the art left in place. Clean white walls, high ceilings and dimmable lighting let a candlelit long table take centre stage.

Ground Floor Galleries

Exclusive Hire
Seats 180 / Up to 220

Galleries 1, 2 and 3 on the ground floor can be hired individually or combined into a larger, connected run for a standing reception, conference or party. Each is a clean blank-canvas room with high ceilings and dimmable lighting; together they flow as the building's main arrival level.

Gallery 13

Exclusive Hire
Seats 150 / Up to 200

A more intimate mezzanine-level room, the most characterful of the upper spaces and a natural fit for an influencer dinner, product reveal or a smaller charity auction. Its tucked-away position gives it a sense of privacy the larger ground-floor galleries don't have.
