/ About
Manetta's Bar sits below Flemings Mayfair on Half Moon Street, in a room that drew writers and artists in the 1930s. Agatha Christie later set At Bertram's Hotel in a thinly disguised Flemings, and the bar keeps that history on its walls: portraits of the era's literary figures, Christie and James Joyce among them, hang around the room. The signature cocktails borrow their names from Christie and James Joyce titles.
The original bar, designed by the London practice Tully Filmer, is black leather, plush velvet and polished rose gold, with a round mirror set into the back bar, red velvet stools at the counter and an art deco carpet underfoot. In June 2026 the same practice extended it with a second area in a warmer key: red velvet walls, a black-and-white geometric floor, mosaic panels and deep patterned banquettes.
The bar seats 55 and opens every day until late evening, with bar food sent through from Ormer Mayfair by Sofian next door. There is no published buyout. A private reception or a full takeover is arranged with the hotel by enquiry, and the room suits a cocktail evening for a small, dressed crowd.
