Esmeralda's Mayfair

Opened in December 2025 within Mandarin Oriental Mayfair on Hanover Square, Esmeralda's is a late-night live music lounge conceived by twin brothers Lee and Nicky Caulfield — one from luxury PR, one from live performance — in partnership with the hotel. The room takes New York's golden-age lounges as its reference: a deliberately intimate space with red velvet curtains, low seating, geometric ceiling lights, and a central gold pillar that gives the room an unusual five-wall plan. A resident six-piece band performs soul, funk and disco every Thursday through Saturday from 9pm, with a DJ carrying the night after and between sets. The licence runs until 3am.

The layout is purpose-designed for both listening and late-night socialising. A stage sits at one end of the room, a diagonally-set bar at the other, and around a dozen generously spaced tables fill the floor between them. Walls are detailed with a gold record-disc motif; the ceiling deploys acoustic panels that double as the room's primary decorative feature. A strict no-photography policy is enforced at the door. The kitchen runs a compact late-night menu — caviar-topped nuggets, lobster rolls, Wagyu sliders, Jersey oysters — alongside an eight-cocktail programme developed by Anna Sebastian Hospitality, and every bill closes with a complimentary champagne pour.

For private hire, the entire venue can be taken exclusively on a hire basis — contact the events team directly. Priority access is structured around hotel residents, with controlled reservations available to outside guests. The Bentley Motors chauffeur partnership provides transport for arriving and departing guests.
