Lucknam Park is a Palladian country house hotel on a 500-acre estate at Colerne, a few miles outside Bath, approached along an avenue of beech and lime trees. It is part of the Emblems Collection, with 42 bedrooms and suites and a set of estate cottages.

The house is let whole for the occasions that want it: exclusive use takes in every bedroom, the Drawing Room and Library for receptions, four private rooms in the main house and Restaurant Hywel Jones, which holds one MICHELIN star and seats up to 80 when the house is taken. The Walled Garden Restaurant and the spa can be added to a buyout. For a smaller party, the Music Room overlooks the avenue and seats 30 across three tables, and the Walmesley, Wallis and Boardroom take dinners of 22, 12 and eight.

Chef Hywel Jones writes the menus for private dinners and the sommelier pairs the wines. It suits a milestone birthday, an engagement dinner or a country house weekend for friends who would otherwise have met in Mayfair.
