/ About
Little Blue is the intimate cocktail bar on the ground floor of The Peninsula London, reached by its own street-side door on Grosvenor Crescent, a few steps from the hotel's Cantonese restaurant, Canton Blue. The room is small and deliberately theatrical: a sculptural chandelier of white paper forms flares overhead, walls of apothecary-style spice cabinets rise the full height of the space, and blue velvet drapes and etched-glass screens frame the marble bar.
The drinks follow the Maritime Silk Road. Marrying Eastern flavours with Western technique, the list is built as a journey from Canton to London by way of Saint Helena, Cape Town and New York, its cocktails drawing on Asian fruits, spices and herbal tinctures alongside premium spirits and a short selection of artisanal teas. Florian Thireau, The Peninsula London's director of mixology, shapes the list, and describes it as an exclusive, intimate place where cocktails are made with precision.
Since April 2025 the bar has also run a walk-in noodle counter alongside the cocktail list, and has opened its own terrace. With around twenty seats inside, Little Blue suits a small, glamorous gathering: an after-dinner celebration, a launch, or a milestone marked over cocktails. Availability for exclusive use is arranged through the house.
