/ About

Brutes of Mayfair opened on Bruton Place in June 2026, the first venture from James Stevenson and Guy Mazuch, who met working across JKS Restaurants' portfolio. The bar is built entirely around the martini: a card system lets guests choose their base spirit, style and garnish, from a classic dry Martini through to the house 'brutal' serve, finished with blue cheese olives, pickled onion crisps or a caviar bump.

North End Design Studio drew the interior from early twentieth-century tailor shops and 1960s Mayfair meeting places: mid-century forms, chequerboard flooring, sapele hardwood and nickel detailing around a central bar that seats twelve and doubles as the room's stage. A green leather banquette and vintage Persian rugs form a small lounge to one side.

The whole bar is available for exclusive private hire for up to 35 guests, with an in-house sound system built for DJ-led evenings — jazz, funk, soul and grime through the night rather than the martini-hour standards. Bruton Place itself has a history as a discreet address for the city's artistic and cultural circles, which the room, tucked behind an unmarked green frontage, still trades on.
