/ About
Lima London has held its corner of Rathbone Place in Fitzrovia since 2012, when it opened as one of the first Peruvian kitchens to bring Lima's ceviche and tiraditos to central London and went on to earn a Michelin star early in its run. The dining room reads unmistakably Peruvian without tipping into pastiche: woven textile pendant lamps in bright Andean colour, a fringed ceiling installation, warm timber tables and concrete walls. The kitchen, led by Diego Recarte, still builds its menu around Peruvian produce and the raw-fish cookery the restaurant made its name on.
For private events the restaurant works across three configurations. The ground-floor Loggia is a light-filled space for intimate dinners and business lunches; the Sotano, a basement cocktail bar, suits seated dinners and drinks receptions; and the full restaurant can be taken exclusively for larger celebrations and corporate dinners. A pisco-led cocktail programme and in-house Peruvian menus run across all three, and the events team builds menus around each booking.
