/ About
Legado is chef Nieves Barragán Mohacho's second London restaurant with JKS Restaurants, following her Michelin-starred Sabor in Mayfair. It opened in Shoreditch's Montacute Yards in August 2025 and was awarded its own star within the year, in the 2026 MICHELIN Guide.
The menu ranges across Spain's regional food cultures rather than one, with whole-animal butchery at its centre: lamb from Castilla y León, suckling pig from Segovia, ham from Extremadura, roasted over ovens imported from Madrid. A double-height dining room rises to a mezzanine and a glass roof, its back wall stacked floor to ceiling with the wine list; downstairs, a 16-seat chef's counter looks straight into the open kitchen. The palette runs to green, plaster pink and terracotta against the building's original brick.
The Bodega, the restaurant's largest reserved table, sits beneath the wine wall and takes up to 12 guests for a family-style menu. A separate tapas and pintxos bar, the Taberna, keeps its own hours and an all-day terrace. A dedicated private dining room, Txoko, opens on the first floor in autumn 2026, taking up to 16 for corporate events and celebrations; in the meantime, private dining and event enquiries are handled directly by the restaurant's team.
