Langosteria London

Milan's cult seafood house opened its first London room on the ground floor of The OWO in July 2026, reached by its own entrance on Whitehall Place. Enrico Buonocore founded Langosteria in 2007, and the London opening follows Paris and St Moritz as the group's third address beyond Italy. The kitchen keeps to the format that built the name: an oyster bar and a robata section anchor a menu of meticulously sourced fish, from crudo and the plateau royale through to black grouper and lobster, with the wine cellars in full view of the room and cocktails written for the London list.

The restaurant reads as three connected spaces. A circular bar sits opposite the entrance beneath a concentric ceiling feature, then opens into the main dining room, both looking onto the cellars. Red banquettes, mirrored gold shelving lined with figurines, hand-painted silk walls and Murano glass lighting give the room its glamour and colour. Off the main floor, the Historical Room carries the building's past: stone fireplaces, stucco ceilings and stately proportions from the Old War Office, reworked with the group's own decorative language.

For private events the Historical Room seats a small party for private dining, a self-contained room with heritage detailing and a serious wine programme close at hand. The bar and the main floor suit a drinks reception ahead of dinner. Open daily from early evening, and part of a building that now holds nine restaurants and three bars, Langosteria brings a distinctly Italian sense of occasion to Whitehall.
