Henrietta Hotel

The Henrietta sits across a pair of Georgian buildings on Henrietta Street, a quiet corner of Covent Garden a few doors from the piazza. It is the London outpost of the Experimental Group, whose Parisian roots run through every room: interiors by Dorothée Meilichzon pair terracotta tiling, deep red and blue velvet banquettes, antiqued mirrors and globe lighting into a bistro that feels lifted straight from the Left Bank. Downstairs, beneath an iron staircase, the ground-floor bar pours the cocktails the group made its name on.

The restaurant, Henri, is run by chef Jackson Boxer, with a menu that reworks French bistro classics through a seasonal British lens. The dining room is the heart of the place, an intimate ground floor of marble-topped tables and banquettes that opens onto a small terrace facing the street, with an open kitchen at the back. A mezzanine overlooks the room from above.

For private events the venue works at the scale we look for. The mezzanine takes a single party under its glass roof with a dedicated bar, while the whole restaurant can be taken over for a full buyout across both floors. It is a genuinely small, design-led room rather than a hotel function suite, which is exactly why it suits an intimate evening built around a DJ.
