/ About
Grosvenor House has stood on Park Lane since 1929, and for most of that time it has been where London holds its largest black-tie nights. The Great Room began life as an ice rink and was converted into a banquet hall in 1935. At 34,164 square feet it remains one of the largest hotel event spaces in Europe, seating 2,000 at rounds or holding 2,000 for a reception, and it has its own entrance on Park Lane, so a gala arrives without passing through the hotel at all.
The Ballroom keeps its original 1929 Art Deco detailing and takes 1,000 for a reception or 450 for a dinner dance, with a red-carpet arrival from Park Lane and an interconnected foyer for the welcome drinks. It divides into the Audley and Grosvenor Suites when a smaller room is wanted. Across the building, 86 Park Lane holds twenty further function suites, several of them daylit and looking over Hyde Park.
Twenty-three event rooms in all, with a dedicated events team and in-house kitchens. Scale is what Grosvenor House is known for, though the same address will just as readily seat forty at a private dinner.
