Gold occupies four floors of a converted townhouse on Portobello Road, opened by Nick House (formerly of Whisky Mist and Mahiki) in 2019. Guests arrive through a ground-floor bar and open kitchen that leads into a garden room, built around a retractable glass roof and filled with plants, where the wood-fired, seasonal menu of shared plates is served alongside a short list of low-intervention wines and cocktails.
The first floor is the largest of the four levels, taking up to 50 guests seated or standing in a dual-aspect room finished in a terracotta and off-white palette. One floor up, the private dining room seats up to 22 with a relaxed, low-lit feel and its own breakout bar for drinks before or after dinner. At the top of the building, a sheltered roof terrace holds up to 15 guests, open to the sky above Portobello Road.
Private hire ranges from the private dining room through to full exclusive use of the building, arranged directly with Gold's own events team.

Exclusive HireGold's ground floor bar and open kitchen lead into a garden room built around a retractable glass roof and filled with plants, a space that blends indoors and out. Alongside the first floor, private dining room and roof terrace, it can be taken together for full exclusive use of the building.
