Flute

Flute crowns Broadwick Soho, the 57-room independent hotel Martin Brudnizki filled with Jazz Age colour on the corner of Broadwick and Lexington Streets. It takes its name from a nineteenth-century flute-maker who once worked the street, and it is the highest room in the house: a jewel-box bar wrapped in cork walls, mirrored ceilings and animal-print upholstery, built around a central onyx counter and opening onto a landscaped terrace that runs the full perimeter of the roof.

The terrace is the draw. It looks out across the Soho rooftops toward the West End skyline, planted and furnished for long evenings, and it makes the whole floor one of the larger rooftop spaces in the neighbourhood. Inside, the bar pours an ever-changing cocktail list to a soundtrack of curated music, and the room has the polish and the volume to carry a party rather than a quiet drink.

For private events the rooftop takes exclusive hire, holding up to 175 guests standing across the bar and terrace, with a section of the terrace available for smaller receptions. It suits a summer launch, a milestone birthday or a corporate evening that wants a view and a room already dressed for it. Flute operates within Broadwick Soho and is booked through the hotel's events team.
