/ About
Donia is a modern Filipino restaurant on the top floor of Kingly Court, the courtyard off Carnaby Street. It is run by Florence Mae Maglanoc and Omar Shah, the founders behind the Filipino ice cream parlour Mamasons and the bakery Panadera. The MICHELIN Guide lists it as a Bib Gourmand.
The kitchen cooks the sweet and sour flavours of the Philippines with British produce, and the menu moves with the seasons. Plates are built to share: adobo mushroom croquetas, chicken inasal from the grill, crisp lechon with a liver and peppercorn sauce. The room pairs a long green velvet banquette with red leather booths and bentwood chairs, under lighting by the Filipino designer Kenneth Cobonpue and alongside work by Filipina artists.
The whole dining room is available for private hire and seats up to 35, with a private dining set menu that can be shaped around the occasion. It suits a birthday dinner or a close celebration that wants real cooking over ceremony.
