Andrew Edmunds has occupied the same Grade II-listed Georgian townhouse on Lexington Street since 1985, when the antiquarian print dealer whose name it carries took on the wine bar next door. Little about it has changed since. Candlelight, wood panelling, church-pew seating and closely set tables make one of Soho's most enduring dining rooms, a place regulars have kept quietly to themselves for four decades. The kitchen cooks a daily-changing Modern European menu, Franco-Mediterranean bistro food built on the morning's market, alongside a wine list long admired for its range and its fairness.

Private events take one of two rooms. The downstairs room seats up to fourteen and takes bookings through the week; the larger weekend room holds twenty, has its own bar, and is given over to groups on Saturdays and Sundays. Menus are set with the head chef, and guided tastings can be arranged with a WSET-qualified wine educator. The whole restaurant is available for exclusive hire, and outside catering is welcome. There is no sound system in the rooms, so this is a venue for intimate dinners and celebrations rather than amplified late-night events. It is old Soho, kept deliberately intact.
