Dante Mayfair

Dante began in Greenwich Village, where the 1915 Caffè Dante was revived in 2015 by Linden Pride and Nathalie Hudson and named the World's Best Bar in 2019. After a summer residency at Claridge's, the pair have made Mayfair their first permanent home outside Manhattan, taking over the hotel's former restaurant on Brook Street.

Nathalie Hudson designed the room with Bryan O'Sullivan Studio: green leather banquettes and marble-topped tables sit beneath the restaurant's starburst skylights, with botanical murals by Beth Rodway and photography by David Yarrow on the walls. An extended bar runs around a piano, and the kitchen reads as a conversation between American classics and Italian cooking, from shrimp cocktail and a smash burger to lobster linguine and rib eye on the bone.

Music is central here. Piano and singers play through the afternoon, giving way to blues and rock in the evening, and a daily Martini Hour runs from three to five. A private dining room seats up to fourteen for celebrations and dinners, a secluded terrace opens for the summer months, and the events team takes bookings for larger parties.
