/ About
Chargal opened on Berkeley Street in December 2025, a Turkish Mediterranean restaurant built around open-fire cooking a few steps from Green Park. The kitchen works an oak charcoal grill in full view of the main room, sending out mezze, French-trimmed lamb cutlets and whole fish through to a dining room that stretches back further than the street-facing windows suggest, arch after arch of reclaimed stone and hanging glass globes overhead.
The restaurant runs across several distinct spaces rather than one long room. A dining floor beneath a canopy of suspended glass pendants opens onto Berkeley Street through a run of arched windows; a private dining room can hold as one open space or curtain off into smaller bays around a wine wall; and a lounge below turns darker and later, red-and-gold neon tracing the wall above a curved banquette.
The buzzy, clubby soundtrack front of house draws as much attention as the food. Private hire runs through the venue's own events team, covering the private dining room, the lounge and the main floor.
