Brasserie Olivia

Brasserie Olivia takes the ground floor of 1 Sloane Square, wrapped around one of Chelsea's busiest corners under a red-and-white striped awning. It opened on 9 July 2026 as the first London address of La Nouvelle Garde, the group Charles Perez and Victor Dubillot founded in Paris in 2019, which runs Brasserie des Prés and Brasserie Dubillot among its French rooms. Rachide Sambu Baldé leads the kitchen, and the group cooks from scratch: whole carcasses arrive at the back door and the fish is filleted in house.

B3 Designers, the group's long-standing designers, drew the room. Guests arrive at an entrance bar and oyster counter beside a lobster tank, then move into a dining room set around an open wood-fired kitchen, under a glazed ceiling, with checkerboard floors, mirrored panelling and Murano-style chandeliers. The wine list is entirely French, and the pavement terrace looks onto the square.

A wooden staircase in the middle of the dining room leads down to Venus Bar, an oak-panelled cocktail bar modelled on Paris after hours in the 1970s. It seats 22 at candlelit round tables on green velvet chairs, the shelves hold vinyl from the 1940s to the 1980s, and guests choose the records. Jennifer Le Nechet leads the cocktails. From October 2026 the bar is offered for full private hire.
