/ About
Boundary Bar & Brasserie fills the ground floor of the Boundary hotel, a converted Victorian warehouse on the corner of Boundary Street and Redchurch Street. It opened in May 2022, when James McCulloch, founder of Harcourt Inns, turned the former Albion café into a bar and brasserie built around a 20-metre zinc-topped bar, with seating for 100.
The room is light-filled and faces the street. The kitchen cooks a modern British menu with a close eye on provenance, served from breakfast through to dinner, with a roast on Sundays and cocktails at the bar into the evening.
For a private event the whole floor is taken for up to 150 standing. Smaller parties have two options: the Snug, a semi-private dining room for 16 behind the main bar, closed off by a heavy soundproof curtain, or the raised area by the windows, which holds 30 standing. Food and drink come from the house kitchen and bar, and the hotel's events team takes the booking. The basement and the rooftop are separate spaces, hired on their own.
