/ About
Beaufort House has been a fixture of the King's Road for years, equal parts brasserie, cocktail bar and private members' house spread across the upper floors of a landmark corner building in the heart of Chelsea. The ground-floor brasserie sets the tone: framed art covering the walls, low candlelight, banquette seating and an easy social hum that runs from morning coffee through to late-night cocktails. Above it sits Albert's, the members' side of the house, which gives the venue its real range for private events.
Three distinct floors are bookable. The Club Room is the glamorous restaurant level, a darkly handsome dining room layered with framed pictures, parquet floors and warm lighting, set for long-table dinners or scattered rounds. Albert's Private Dining Room is the quieter option, a library-feel space lined with bookshelves and deep red chairs, equipped with a private bar and screening facilities. At the top is the Penthouse Champagne Bar, a loft under a pitched ceiling hung with clusters of globe pendant lights, patterned wallpaper and velvet banquettes. It is the floor built for a party: a dancefloor, a built-in bar, no noise restrictions and a licence that runs to 3am at weekends, with guests free to bring their own DJ.
That combination is what makes Beaufort House work for an intimate DJ night. The penthouse is sound-friendly and self-contained at the top of the building, the Club Room handles a larger seated crowd, and the whole house can flow from dinner downstairs to dancing on the top floor. It is one of the more characterful private-event addresses in Chelsea, and the kind of place where a celebration can take over a single floor or build across all three.
