/ About

Battersea Power Station reopened to the public in October 2022, after a redevelopment that turned Sir Giles Gilbert Scott's Grade II* listed landmark into shops, offices and homes. The building's two original control rooms were restored rather than converted, and they are what the Power Station offers as private event space. Almost everything else inside the Turbine Halls is a restaurant, a shop or an attraction under its own operator.

Control Room A is the 1930s room, in Turbine Hall A: teak parquet, marble finishes, banks of original dials and switchboards, and a gold-coffered Art Deco glass ceiling running the length of it. Restored by WilkinsonEyre in collaboration with Historic England, it takes receptions, dinners, fashion shows and launches, holds 250 standing or 200 seated, and is licensed by Wandsworth for civil ceremonies. Its premises licence runs to 2am on Fridays and Saturdays. Control Room B, on its own mezzanine above Turbine Hall B, is the 1950s room, kept with its control desks and switchgear racks and rebuilt around a radial centrepiece bar in turbine-inspired steel. It runs as a cocktail bar and takes up to 250 standing.

There is no single events office. Each space is hired through its own operator: Control Room A through Broadwick, Control Room B through Inception Group. The Turbine Halls themselves are not let for private parties; the estate routes them through its commercialisation team for brand activations and pop-ups.
