Barbican Centre

A catering and reception room on Level 3 with floor-to-ceiling windows over the Barbican lake, St Giles Cripplegate and the City skyline. Recently refurbished, with a colour-changing LED ceiling and a clear floor for dancing after dinner. It takes 300 for a reception on its own, and combines with the Conservatory and Conservatory Terrace for up to 650.

A wide terrace set high under the Conservatory's glass roof, looking down over the planting. Daylight throughout, infra-red heating, and a licence for wedding and civil ceremonies. It runs directly into the Conservatory and the Garden Room by staircase.

A glasshouse on Level 3 holding over 1,500 species of plants and trees, reached through the concrete of the arts centre and lit by coloured light set into the planting for events after dusk. Licensed for wedding and civil ceremonies. The Barbican has confirmed the Conservatory closes in January 2027 for a three-year restoration, reopening in 2030.

A contemporary room opened in September 2026, with daylight and views across the Lakeside, St Giles Cripplegate and the City skyline. Catering is served in the same space, and it is fully accessible. Suited to receptions, dinners and smaller conferences.

The concert hall, home to the London Symphony Orchestra, seating 1,943 across stalls, circle and balcony. A fixed stage with variable risers, house PA, production lighting and 21 backstage rooms, with three technical booths at the rear for interpretation, webcasting and projection. Its own private foyers are used for catering and exhibitions.

A 1,154-seat theatre across stalls, circle, upper circle and gallery, built so that no seat sits more than 20 metres from the stage. The stage is left as a blank canvas for staged productions, with house PA, white lighting and a projection roll screen.

Two floors of foyer, hired for large receptions, exhibitions and dinners. Level G runs 74 metres at street level with views out to the Lakeside and access to the Fountain Room; Level -1 opens onto the Hall and Theatre and has direct access to the internal roadway for load-in. Both carry a PA system.

Six rooms on the fourth-floor conference level, divided by removable sound-proofed partitions so they can be run singly or opened into suites. Daylight, air conditioning and a shared lounge, the Frobisher Hub, looking over the Sculpture Court.

A 280-seat raked cinema on Level -2 with integrated stage lighting and sound rigs, a 7.6-metre screen and colour-changeable wall lighting. Its own foyer, bar and cloakroom sit alongside, which makes it work for private screenings as well as presentations.

A 245-seat raked auditorium on the conference floor, a former cinema, with colour-changing wall and ceiling lighting, house PA and a dedicated technician on every booking. Exclusive use of the Frobisher Lounge comes with it, and the Garden Room and Conservatory are a short walk away for catering.

A 151-seat raked auditorium next to the Frobisher meeting rooms, with integrated stage lighting, two adaptable sound rigs and retractable writing tablets on every seat. Video conferencing and satellite links can be installed by the in-house technical team.

Two cinemas on Beech Street, a short walk from the Silk Street entrance, seating 153 and 147. Level access, a private catering space for receptions, stage lighting, projection and a dedicated sound and lighting technician.
