/ About
Quique Dacosta's first restaurant outside Spain opened on Eastcastle Street in June 2019, and it was built around one idea: a six-metre wood-fire stove set in the middle of the ground floor, in full view of the room. Rice is the discipline here — Valencian paella and its variations, cooked over flame, plus meat and fish worked on the same fires. The MICHELIN Guide lists it under Mediterranean cuisine and rice dishes.
Lázaro Rosa-Violán designed the two floors, and the ground floor reads exactly as you would hope: black glazed tile, worn Persian rugs, burnt-orange banquettes, hanging greenery against the street windows and a glazed cellar behind the pass. Off it sits Fuego, a semi-private cocktail lounge with velvet seating and taxidermy birds lit in arched niches. Upstairs the register changes to oak panelling, framed prints and a second bar, with two private rooms that take daylight through the day.
For events the building divides cleanly. The Light Room and the Lounge work as self-contained private rooms on the first floor, Fuego takes a drinks reception, and the Main Dining Room can be taken on its own with the fire as the centrepiece. Both floors together are the full buyout, which is how the restaurant reaches three figures standing.

The Restaurant (Exclusive Hire)
Exclusive HireBoth floors taken together: the ground-floor dining room and its bar around the wood-fire stove, plus the first floor with its own bar and two private rooms. The largest configuration the restaurant offers, and the only one that opens the whole building to a single party.
The Main Dining Room
Exclusive HireThe ground floor, taken on its own. Open-kitchen seating runs along the six-metre stove, with burnt-orange banquettes, Persian rugs and street windows screened by hanging greenery. A bar within the room handles the reception before guests sit down.
The Light Room
PrivateA first-floor private room named for its chandeliers, panelled in oak and hung with framed prints above blue and green velvet banquettes. It takes daylight through the day and has its own bar, and it is the one space at Arros QD with speakers of its own.
The Lounge
PrivateAlso listed as the Private Dining Room: a glass-walled first-floor space with street windows on one side and lit shelves of terracotta vessels on the other. It runs as a day room for meetings and presentations, then turns to dinners and standing receptions in the evening, and can be paired with the upstairs bar.
Fuego Bar
Semi PrivateThe semi-private cocktail lounge off the main dining room, and the darkest room in the building: marble café tables, red velvet, a backlit bar and taxidermy birds in arched niches. Daylight reaches it through the ground-floor windows; by evening it works for aperitivo before dinner or a drink after it.
The Chef's Table
Semi PrivateA single marble table set in the main dining room beside the wood fires, with a window through to the kitchen. The chefs cook and talk the party through the Valencian rice canon as they go, which makes it the most personal booking in the building rather than the grandest.
