/ About

Amélie occupies the ground and first floors of 19 Motcomb Street, the Grade II-listed Belgravia building known for most of two centuries as the Pantechnicon. It opened in November 2024, on the floors below SACHI and above LUUM, and takes Provence as its subject. Head chef Steve Raveneau, previously of Annabel's and The Arts Club, builds the menu around small French producers, with Mediterranean dishes running alongside.

The interiors are by the west London studio Sagrada, who also worked on the floors above. On the ground floor a long marble bar with rose leather stools runs past terracotta armchairs and green velvet banquettes screened in wrought ironwork, under a cascade of glass pendants suspended from a gilded ceiling dome; exposed brick and tall sash windows are left from the original building. The first floor has its own counter beneath a gilt-crested arched mirror, walls hung salon-style with contemporary pictures, and curved banquettes in dusty pink. A walk-in wine room holds some two thousand bottles.

Both floors take private hire. The first floor is the larger, seating 80 and holding 120 for a reception, and is laid out for long-table dinners as readily as for standing receptions. The ground floor suits smaller groups at 26 seated or 50 standing, with the bar and the covered terrace on pedestrianised Motcomb Street attached to it. The licence runs to midnight. Knightsbridge and Sloane Square are each a short walk.
