ALBA takes the first floor of 70 Brompton Road, directly opposite the main entrance to Harrods. Its Italian kitchen, led by head chef Cristian Ianni, cooks from the seafood of the Amalfi Coast, with crudo and handmade pasta beside the day’s catch. Since September 2026 a ten-seat omakase counter overlooking Harrods has served Japanese tasting menus under head chef Takuya Kaneko. In October 2026 the restaurant was named Bar or Restaurant of the Year at the Kensington, Chelsea & Westminster Business Awards.
The interiors are by the design studio Yodezeen, in a coastal palette of lemon yellow, olive green and terracotta, with Venetian floors, citrus trees and an open kitchen behind a display of fresh seafood. A wine cellar keeps bottles from Italy and France, Masseto and Dom Pérignon among them.
For a private occasion the whole restaurant takes 110 seated or 150 standing. A smaller party can take a semi-private section of the dining room, the table at the window facing Harrods for up to 14, or the private dining room for up to ten.
