14 Stories

D&D London opened 14 Stories on the 14th floor of 120 Fenchurch Street in 2019, and Robert Angell's interiors still set it apart from the glass-and-steel City rooms around it. Rather than chase minimalism, the design fills the floor with an indoor forest: full-height trees rise from stone planters, ferns and trailing greenery hang from the ceiling, and an oval cocktail bar sits at the centre of it all. Floor-to-ceiling windows wrap the room, framing Tower Bridge, the Thames and The Shard. The kitchen cooks modern British with a French accent, and the bar runs a serious cocktail list.

For private events the floor divides cleanly. The Private Dining Room is the most enclosed space, with its own long table, terracotta leather seating and a leaf-motif chandelier under a corner of glass. The Semi-Private Lounge opens onto the botanical bar and the wider room, working for seated dinners or standing receptions among the planting. For larger occasions the entire restaurant is available on exclusive hire.

On the music side the venue already programmes DJs: Golden Hour Sessions run on Friday evenings and a DJ plays the weekend brunch service, which makes it a natural fit for a curated set with the City lit up behind the decks.
