North and True North is Firenze Lai’s first exhibition in the UK and her first with White Cube since she joined the gallery in July 2025, and every painting in it was made in her London studio over the past year. Lai was born in Hong Kong in 1984, and the show takes its name from a painting of hers of 2024, The True North. The preview is on Tuesday 13 October 2026, six until eight, at Mason’s Yard, which puts it on the Tuesday of Frieze week and two days before the evening sales. The show runs to 14 November, long after the fair has come down.
