Themba at KOKO

Friday, 23 October 2026 KOKO · Camden

The South African DJ who left the name Euphonik behind to become Themba brings his percussive Afro house to the Theatre at KOKO.

Themba, the South African DJ once known as Euphonik, brings his Afro house to the Theatre at KOKO in Camden on Friday 23 October 2026. Da Mike opens the night.

He was born Themba Mbongeni Nkosi in Mpumalanga in 1983 and grew up between Likazi, Klerksdorp and Benoni. He was raised on his father’s records by Marvin Gaye, Stimela and Hugh Masekela.

As Euphonik he became one of South Africa’s best-known house DJs, with shows on YFM and the national station 5FM. In 2017 he set that name aside and began recording as Themba, building tracks around South African vocalists, percussionists and players.

His records came out on Hot Since 82’s Knee Deep In Sound, on Yoshitoshi and on Armada, and he played Ultra in Miami in 2018. He has since held a residency at Hï Ibiza beside Black Coffee.

His 2025 album, Elements Of Africa, brought Afro house, deep house and harder club music together on one record.

The night belongs to KOKO Electronic’s autumn and winter season, in the venue’s 125th year. He plays the Victorian Theatre and its balconies until 05:00.
