Shanti Celeste, the house and electro DJ who has played Berghain and Glastonbury, celebrates her birthday at KOKO in Camden on Saturday 24 October 2026. Leon Vynehall and Danielle join her as special guests in the Theatre.

Born in Temuco, Chile, in 1988, Celeste moved to Britain at 12. She found electronic music at raves in the Lake District and learned to mix vinyl at 17 from the producer Kowton.

In Bristol, where she studied illustration, she worked at the Idle Hands record shop. She also took over promoting the Housework night with Gramrcy, Daisy Moon and Golesworthy. In 2017 she founded Peach Discs with Gramrcy, and her debut album, Tangerine, followed on the label in 2019.

Her sound moves between house, techno, electro and ambient. She recorded an Essential Mix in 2018, hosts a monthly radio show.

Now based in London after years in Berlin, she runs the Club Celeste parties here and in Bristol. KOKO bills this night as her birthday party.

Gramrcy, her partner at Peach Discs, goes back to back all night with Ellie Stokes in Room 2. The circle that built Housework in Bristol shares the building with her.
