The Story

Tracey Scott Wilson’s newsroom thriller runs in the Olivier Theatre from Thursday 27 August to Saturday 24 October 2026, directed by Clint Dyer. Letitia Wright leads, with Ashley Thomas, Lorraine Toussaint and Wilf Scolding. The National bills it as gripping and adrenaline-fuelled, which is a fair description of a play that turns on a reporter and a story that is too good to leave alone. The Olivier is the National’s largest room and puts its audience on three sides of the action, so a newsroom staged there is surrounded rather than framed.
