Seven Lions, the Californian producer behind “Don’t Leave” with Ellie Goulding, plays Ministry of Sound in Elephant and Castle on Friday 16 October 2026. He goes back to back with Trivecta at the head of a Monstercat night.

Seven Lions is Jeff Montalvo, born in Santa Barbara, California, in 1987. He played drums in metal and punk bands before turning to production. An old Tiësto CD handed to him in college pointed him towards trance.

His break came in 2011, when his remix of Above & Beyond’s “You Got To Go” won the duo’s official remix competition and came out on their Anjunabeats label. Skrillex then signed his Days to Come EP to Owsla, and it reached the top ten of the American dance album chart.

The sound he built from there, now called melodic bass, sets the long, rising chords of trance against the weight of dubstep. Worlds Apart entered the Billboard 200 in 2014, and in 2018 he founded Ophelia Records.

His set with Trivecta, a melodic bass producer from the same Monstercat circle, is a one-off back-to-back. Kill The Noise and Muzz complete the bill beneath them.
