ALIVE: Paolo Ferrara (All Night Long)

Friday, 6 November 2026 E1 · Wapping

The Italian DJ behind TechnoMetal and the HEX movement plays his first solo all-night set for ALIVE at E1, moving from hard bounce and hard techno into hardcore.

Paolo Ferrara, the Italian DJ who founded the HEX movement, plays his first solo all-night set for the ALIVE series at E1 in Wapping on Friday 6 November 2026.

Ferrara grew up in Italy around records: his grandfather kept a vinyl shop, and his young parents spent their weekends in clubs. He found techno at 13 or 14 and loved Linkin Park in equal measure. At 15 he sold his motorbike to buy DJ equipment, then practised for a year in a garage.

The first bookings went badly, and he answered by promoting his own nights. His mix of club music and metal became TechnoMetal, and in HEX, the collective he founded, he is known as the Heavy Destroyer.

His track “Last Resort” reached number one on the hard techno charts in 2024, and “Duality” and “Sweet Dreams” have each passed a million streams. He has since launched Syrion, a new concept, and an audiovisual live show.

HEX marked ten years with an anniversary night in London. E1 bills this date as a marathon, a set long enough to run from hard bounce through hard techno into hardcore, in its warehouse on Pennington Street.
