The Londoner behind Solid Grooves makes his debut in KOKO's Theatre, a rare intimate hometown headline after his return to the largest stages in electronic music.
Michael Bibi, the London DJ who founded Solid Grooves, headlines the Theatre at KOKO in Camden on Saturday 17 October 2026, his first night in that room.
Bibi grew up in London, the son of a dance teacher and the blues guitarist Robin Bibi. He began DJing in 2011 and started throwing his own parties under the name Solid Grooves.
In 2015 he and PAWSA turned the parties into a tech house record label. His 2018 single “Hanging Tree”, built around a sample from The Hunger Games, went viral.
In 2023 he was diagnosed with cancer, and by December that year he was in remission. He returned in 2024 and hosted One Life at Finsbury Park, a day for 45,000 people that raised around £120,000 for the Royal Marsden.
Sungazing, his first release after the diagnosis, followed in 2025. “Mystery of Raw”, with Kettama and Wu-Tang, reached the top twenty of the UK download chart in 2026.
The night sits in KOKO’s Electronic Nights season and brings unreleased records, Solid Grooves favourites and cuts from his own catalogue. After the festival main stages, it is an intimate headline in the city where the label began.
