London Fashion Week's autumn/winter 2025 season ran on a trimmed-down schedule from 180 The Strand, and Burberry closed it at Tate Britain.
London Fashion Week showed the autumn and winter 2025 collections from Thursday 20 to Monday 24 February 2025, with 180 The Strand as its official hub.
The British Fashion Council inaugurated London Fashion Week in 1984 and has held it twice a year since. Its NEWGEN scheme funds and stages first collections for designers who could not otherwise afford a runway.
February is the smaller of the two seasons. It falls after New York and before Milan and Paris.
The season was the last overseen by Caroline Rush, chief executive of the Council for sixteen years, who handed the post to Laura Weir that April. The Council also adopted Copenhagen Fashion Week’s sustainability requirements for its NEWGEN designers, the first of the four big fashion weeks to do so.
The schedule was trimmed. Richard Quinn and Erdem showed over the weekend, and several younger labels chose lookbooks, films or dinners over a catwalk. NEWGEN designers showed together at the hub and in a joint showroom on the final day.
Burberry closed the week on the Monday with its own show at Tate Britain, a short walk from its Horseferry Road headquarters.
