Natassa Bofiliou, whose debut single “Aspirini” became an immediate hit, performed at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in West London on Thursday 7 May 2026.

Born in Athens in 1983, Bofiliou studied political science at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens while training in piano and music theory at the Greek Odeum. She began recording in 2004 through the Mikri Arktos label’s Second Audition.

Her first solo album, Ekato Mikres Anases, followed in 2005. She then formed a lasting partnership with the composer Themis Karamouratidis and the lyricist Gerasimos Evangelatos, which has produced nine albums, among them En Lefko and Mehri To Telos.

That partnership took her from small theatres to arenas across Greece and Europe. She is also one of the country’s most outspoken musical voices on social and political questions, human rights and economic hardship among them.

The Empire opened on Shepherd’s Bush Green in 1903. It is a Frank Matcham theatre that hosted BBC television recordings until 1994 and is now Grade II listed.

The hall holds around 2,000, and its size suited her literate repertoire, which she has never separated from the causes she sings about.
