Hovig, who sang “Gravity” for Cyprus in the 2017 Eurovision final, plays his first British headline show in Gants Hill with Elena Papapanagiotou as guest.
Hovig, who represented Cyprus at Eurovision 2017 with “Gravity”, performs his first headline show in Britain at Faces NightClub in Gants Hill on Friday 30 October 2026. Fellow Cypriot singer Elena Papapanagiotou joins him as special guest.
Born Hovig Demirjian in Nicosia in 1989, the singer is of Armenian descent. He initially studied marketing and worked briefly in business before pursuing music, learning guitar and piano alongside studies in jazz and singing. Early recognition came with second place in a song competition in Larnaca.
In 2009, he reached a wider audience through the second season of The X Factor Greece. Mentored by Nikos Mouratidis, he performed songs ranging from Ray Charles to Antonis Remos, finishing seventh.
The London appearance follows six summers of Sunday performances at Lush in Larnaca, where many British Cypriots have seen him live. For those audiences, the evening offers a chance to hear him closer to home.
Joining him is Elena Papapanagiotou, whose career includes appearances on The X Factor and The Voice of Greece, alongside releases through Panik Records.
