Alkinoos Ioannidis — Live in London

Alkinoos Ioannidis, the acclaimed Cypriot singer-songwriter, brought his entehno and world repertoire to Camden’s Electric Ballroom for a single London night. Performing with a Cypriot ensemble of strings and percussion, he traded the arena for an intimate, attentive room. His writing — literate, melodic and rooted in the eastern Mediterranean — rewards close listening. It was a rare chance to hear one of Cyprus’s finest voices in the capital.
